I was told once that “color photos show the joy,” and “black and white photos show the soul.” I’m not sure I agree totally with that and my evidence is below. Sure, I believe B&W photos can show the soul, but I see so much joy in the photos below and even a sense of sensuality in one of them. Maybe these photos show the soul and joy.
While in Cuba, I took many things back with me, none of which I had to discuss with customs. The Cuban people are resilient and joyful, despite whatever cards they have been dealt. I think that’s something all of us can adopt.
