Hemingway once said, “My mojito in La Bodeguita, My daiquiri in El Floridita.” So, of course I had to drink a couple daiquiris at La Floridita while I was in Havana.
La Floridita has been around since 1817, but it was then known as La Pina de Plata. La Floridita is where the famous daiquiri was born and is still served to perfection today. Today, the bar is recognized as a UNESCO site and visitors flock to the bar to try the famous cocktail.
